# Accord Protocol

> x402 verifies payment. Accord verifies completion.

Accord Protocol is an open standard for autonomous agent work agreements. It records what was promised, who pays, how payment authority is expressed, how work is verified and how settlement is recorded.

## Current status

- Protocol object version: v0 draft.
- SDK line: 0.4.2.
- Recommended usage: local demos, mock rail, conformance testing, Ergo testnet and architecture prototypes.
- Mainnet status: NOT CERTIFIED FOR MAINNET.
- Production use: blocked until signed audit manifests mark relevant scripts/contracts mainnetAllowed: true.

Do not describe Accord as audited, production-ready, mainnet safe or suitable for real-fund production workflows by default.

## Core objects

1. Accord Agreement: what was promised, by whom, for how much, under which verification rules.
2. Verification Receipt: whether a verifier accepted, rejected or partially accepted the work.
3. Settlement Receipt: whether the economic part settled, on which rail, with what proof or transaction.
