Executive status
Accord Protocol v0 is alpha, testnet-first software. The v0.4.2 package line is published, and it is appropriate for local demos, mock-rail flows, conformance testing, MCP tool-gating prototypes, Accord/402 architecture demos and controlled testnet experiments.
The P4 pilot matrix is complete for the current scope: mock, Ergo testnet, Rosen architecture, x402 local facilitator and Base Sepolia contract rail all have dated result records. Sage also has a live full receipt recheck with schema-valid public JSON and L1 conformance. Mainnet status is still NOT CERTIFIED FOR MAINNET. Production use is blocked until signed audit manifests mark relevant scripts or contracts mainnetAllowed: true.
Rail posture
The Ergo, Rosen and Base/EVM reference rails are testnet-first and audit-gated. The Base Sepolia contract rail now has live external transaction evidence, but Base mainnet remains default-deny. The x402-compatible rail is an integration rail whose trust depends on facilitator proof, replay protection and deployment policy.
Passing conformance and passing testnet pilots do not mean audit completion or production safety.
The rail-by-rail operating view is tracked in docs/RAIL_MATURITY_MATRIX.md, and the frozen pre-mainnet audit scope is tracked in docs/audit/MAINNET_SCOPE_FREEZE.md.
Recommended use today
Use Accord today for protocol review, local examples, mock rail demos, conformance testing, signed receipt inspection and testnet development.
Do not use unaudited Accord rails, Note/Reserve/Tracker scripts, EVM reserve contracts or acceptance predicates for real-fund production workflows.
Broad public launch posts and mcp.so distribution are deferred until the launch readiness gates pass. That gate is about polish and evidence presentation, not protocol failure.
